Once all the necessary tests have been completed, your treatments will begin. You will be provided with all the dental supplies that are required for your treatment. They include gauze, antibiotic ointment, syringes, tooth brushes, mouthwash, gauze pads and gauze stick. You may also receive a referral to an orthodontist or a cosmetic dentist to assist in the cosmetic portion of your treatment.
Your treatment can be quick or it can take a while depending on the severity of the problem. If there is more than one tooth needing to be replaced, then the process may take longer. Your regular dentist should be able to get back to you within the hour or two. In most cases, they can have you back to your home within 24 hours. However, this will depend on how far out of town you are and how long the road is to the hospital.
